Energy Attribute Certificate (EAC)
International Renewable Energy Certificates (I-RECs)
The International REC Standard (I-REC) is an international standard for the production, tracking and cancellation of renewable electricity in countries that don’t already have a system for EACs.
Green Electricity Certificate(GEC)
Green Electricity Certificate (GEC) is an electronic credential with a unique code identifier issued by the state for green electricity generated from registered renewable energy generation projects. The GEC is the sole proof of the environmental attributes of renewable energy electricity in China, and the only credential for recognizing the production and consumption of renewable energy electricity. Each GEC represents 1,000 kWh (1 MWh) of renewable energy electricity. All electricity generated from renewable energy projects, including wind power, solar photovoltaic, hydropower, biomass power, geothermal power, and ocean power, can be issued with GECs accordingly.
Tradable Instruments for Global Renewables(TIGRs)
APX created the Tradable Instrument for Global Renewables (TIGR) Registry as an online platform for tracking and transferring Renewable energy certificates (RECs), enabling developers to generate, verify, and sell RECs.
Verified Carbon Standard (VCUs)
Under the VCS Program, projects are issued unique carbon credits known as Verified Carbon Units or VCUs. Each VCU represents a reduction or removal of one tonne of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e) achieved by a project. VCUs are ultimately purchased and retired by an end user as a means of offsetting their emissions.
The Global Carbon Council (GCC) is a voluntary carbon offsetting program that aims to assist the organisations reduce their carbon footprints, help sectoral economy to diversify by adopting low-carbon pathways and catalyze climate actions on ground
Chinese Certified Emission Reduction (CCER)
CCER refers to “national certified voluntary emission reductions”. The emission reductions participating in voluntary emission reductions need to be registered and filed by the competent national authorities in the National Voluntary Emission Reduction Transaction Register. The recorded emission reductions are called “China Certified Emission Reductions (CCER)”, and the unit is “tons of carbon dioxide equivalent”
To avoid critical changes in our biosphere, it is crucial that we keep global warming to under 1.5°C. To do so, companies around the world need to join in the fight by taking ambitious climate action to reduce (and, to the extent possible, reverse) the damage humans have caused. ECO combines our reach consulting experience with our cloud-based software to help enterprises understand the carbon footprint of their company, products, and activities, then to help enterprises identify specific areas where carbon emissions need to be reduced. A corporate carbon footprint is calculated in terms of a company’s scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions. Calculating carbon footprint can help corporates understand company’s emissions, thus laying the foundation for a zero-carbon path.
Product Carbon Footprint Consulting(PCFC)
1) Carbon emissions baseline assessment. 2) Emission reduction pathway and carbon neutrality roadmap design. 3) Implementation of reduction measures and carbon neutrality execution. 4) Verification, certification and information disclosure.
Corporate Neutrality Consulting(CCNC)
The sectors that produce the majority of global greenhouse-gas emissions face a steep challenge to decarbonize, but our research shows that solutions are within reach. In many cases, a transformation is well underway. This collection draws together articles and reports that lay out a pathway to net zero for nine emissions-intensive industries.
